Miley Cyrus' Alleged Stalker Escapes Charges

A man accused of harassing Miley Cyrus will not face charges for attempted stalking after a grand jury ruled there was insufficient evidence to indict him.
Mark McLeod, 53, was arrested twice this summer for hounding the Disney star on the Georgia set of her latest movie "The Last Song".
He was taken into custody in August, just weeks after he was cautioned by cops in June for making "inappropriate comments" to young Cyrus fans.
McLeod had also told officers he was engaged to the young star and that she sent him secret messages via her TV show, "Hannah Montana".
Judge Steven Scheer branded McLeod "a danger" to Cyrus and her young fans when the suspect appeared in court to face counts of attempted stalking, obstruction of a police officer and disturbing the peace in August.
But the case will go no further after a grand jury at Chatham County State Court insisted there was a lack of evidence against McLeod, who has been held in custody since August 4.
The 16-year-old star was granted a temporary restraining order against the suspect that same month.

It's the least well-kept secret on the Internet: The Hollywood Gossip is not a big fan of Miley Cyrus.

For months, we railed against the singer's self-serving use of Twitter, as well as her general ego and inappropriate attire for a 16-year old.

But might our staff need to adjust to a world in which Cyrus serves as an actual role model?!? She deleted her Twitter account this month because she came to the mature realization that it's not healthy to tell the world about your every thought and action.

Over the weekend, meanwhile, Miley performed at the Concert For Hope, a charity event held at the Nokia Theatre in L.A. In a giving gesture, she sung "The Climb" on stage with a young cancer patient. Check it out:

The event benefitted cancer research and treatment programs at City of Hope, one of the country’s leading cancer centers.

Just like last year - when she raised over two million dollars - Miley is donating one dollar from every ticket sold during her Wonder World Tour to the organization.

It's an act of charity even our critical staff can't find a single thing wrong with. Now, if only Cyrus would do something about her young sister's Halloween costume...

Today is a slow news day, which is why I'm bringing you this tidbit: Miley Cyrus will reportedly have a cameo of sorts in Sex and the City 2, the sequel you probably never wanted to see.

According to Gossip Cop, the current version of the script has Kim Cattrall (who plays Sex and the City's resident trysexual, Samantha) attending a red carpet event with a dress guaranteed to accent her youth and attractiveness. Unfortunately though, Cyrus shows up to the same event wearing the exact same dress.

As women already know, and possibly some of you guys as well, showing up to anything wearing the same dress as someone else is one of the worst things ever -- especially when the someone else looks better in the dress. And considering this is Miley Cyrus vs. Kim Cattrall, I think we can safely say who looks better.

In addition to newly-announced duets, the headliners will also showcase their singing talent on individual set.

Since being absent from the small screen in 2004, VH1 Divas Concert will make a return on September 17 at the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) Howard Gilman Opera House in Brooklyn, New York. The gig will be hosted by the former judge of "American Idol", Paula Abdul.

A number of celebrities are confirmed to come to the concert as presenters. Miley Cyrus isn’t having quite the civil break up with Justin Gaston she’d planned. The actress and singer is having a war of words via Twitter with the underwear model from whom she split in June after around a year of dating.
Gaston started the argument by writing on his page: “People mistake stupidity for bravery way too easily.”

When the on-air conversation veered toward the 16-year-old pop star, Foxx, 41, asked: "Who is Miley Cyrus?"
As someone explained Cyrus is the star of the popular Hannah Montana franchise, Foxx quipped, "The one with all the gums? She's got to get a gum transplant!"

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Miley Cyrus plans to be back on the big screen, and soon. Hannah Montana? Not likely after her latest film.

So says the 16-year-old tween phenom, whose alter ego brings her secret double life as a pop star to theaters April 10 with Hannah Montana: The Movie.

The film reveals Hannah Montana's identity to the world in a way Cyrus says is "very clever" and diminishes the chances of a sequel — but doesn't dampen the future of the popular Disney TV show.

The film follows last year's sold-out Cyrus-Montana concert tour and her Best of Both Worlds Concert 3D movie, which grossed more than $60 million, a rare hit for a concert film.

"I don't know if I would do another (Hannah Montana) film, but I would love to do another season," said Cyrus, who's signed up for a third and says she's interested in a fourth. "That would be what we would all agree on."

Cyrus also seems to agree with the idea of a jump to Hollywood: She's planning to spend the summer working on a film written by Nights in Rodanthe and The Notebook author Nicholas Sparks. But this is no adaptation of a bestselling romantic novel — instead, Sparks went directly to the screenplay this time, and did so with Cyrus in mind for the part.

Other than the title, The Last Song, neither Sparks nor Cyrus are giving away any plot points. But Cyrus hints at a role that will put her acting chops to the test.

"I've always been lucky to play parts that relate to me, and this doesn't at all," she said. "I have my issues, but not as bad as this chick. So I'm happy to play someone that's just kind of out there and not someone that I'm like."

Like anyone else, Cyrus is waiting to see whether she's "a good actress or not, or if I'm just good at playing myself.

"So," she added, "We'll see how that goes."

Will that affect her status as a role model for young girls? Not any more than her feelings on the glamorous life she's chosen: Asked what kids should do if they're torn between pursuing an acting dream or going to college, Cyrus responds with her usual unfiltered candor.

"I say 'do it,'" she said, laughing as if she knew what kind of trouble she was causing for herself. "Be a freak. Go to Hollywood."

Earlier today Miley Cyrus stopped by a juice bar with her mother Tish.

When a customer asked the paparazzi how they knew she'd be there, the pap replied, "They call us."

A lot of times celebrities assistants will call the paparazzi and give them a schedule of the stars daily activities, i.e., where they will be having lunch, shopping, who they'll be with, etc.

And Miley isn't the only one who calls the paparazzi herself. Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian and Nicole Richie all reportedly have the photogs on speed dial.

Some celebrity couples like Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt allegedly even make money off the photos, which is why they always look like they're posing.

She has a hit TV series, a No. 1 movie and three – count 'em, three! – No. 1 albums under her belt. Now, at the ripe age of 16, Miley Cyrus has added another item to her Been-There-Done-That-List: an autobiography.

In the pages of her first book, Miles to Go, Cyrus tells PEOPLE she hopes that her fans will see "that I'm a real person just like them." "Most of the time you see me smiling – I mean that's how I got my name! – but that's not what it's all about. Everyone goes through hardships and heartbreaks," she says.

Before she became Hannah Montana, Cyrus writes, she had to endure daily hazing from bullies in sixth grade, who did everything from stealing her books to locking her in the school bathroom. Looking back, "sometimes I wish I could get an apology [from the mean girls], but to be honest I don't need one," she says. "I moved on and I believe they moved on as well. It helped make me the person I am today."

Young Love

Other people she writes about in her book include her first love – whom she only refers to as Prince Charming (Hint: His real name starts with Nick and ends with Jonas) – her Hannah costars and the rest of the Cyrus clan. "My family is a huge part of this book," she says. "They were involved in the process and we talked a lot about what I was going to write about."

'Hannah Montana' Gets Its Dose of David Archuleta

The American Idol 7 runner-up was enthusiastic when he confirmed his appearance on the Disney Channel hit series, Hannah Montana. David Archuleta raved about his stint as a guest star on the sensational show, and even talked about filming his cameo for it. Though there hasn't been any information released on which episode he'll be seen in, fans will be surely thrilled to hear the news.

David Archuleta wrote on his blog that he was initially anxious about the experience of being in Hannah Montana. But when he got on the set, his ill emotions were dispelled. “It was another thing I was really nervous about and wasn't really sure about at first,” he admitted.

“However, once I got there I had a great time! Everyone there was fun and Miley was a cool person to hang out with. She has a lot of energy and is really funny haha. Getting to watch how they rehearsed the scenes for the show was really cool too.”

The American Idol star later confessed that he hasn't seen the show prior to his guest appearance. Even so, he continued to say that it was “funny watching the other scenes.” Of course, Hannah Montana has its unique mix of comedy, which really just caters to tweens and teens, such as Archuleta himself.

Moreover, with American Idol being such a phenomenon, it's no doubt fans (of all ages, too) of the 18-year-old musician will jump right into Disney to see how he fares. This isn't his first time to appear as a guest star though. Archuleta was previously seen on Nickelodeon's iCarly, where he played himself in one episode.

“I think it'll be fun to see how the whole show runs altogether, because it was just cool to see how great of actors the other kids were,” David Archuleta went on. While we can wait for further announcements about this, those who can't get enough of him might want to head over to Europe this May , as he's busy promoting his self-titled album in a tour.

This reflects so poorly on our educational system in America…this hacker can’t even spell “role model”. If I would’ve hacked her account, I’d have said something more believable and wouldn’t have let people catch on so quickly.

With such revelations like “Demi Lovato wears hair extensions!” and that she does “Hannah Montanna for da $$$$$$$”, it’s hard to tell that the account might have been hacked.

A source in Texas says that Cyrus and her entourage arrived Saturday and she is set to perform tonight at Lanier Law Firm's "Christmas Cheers and Charity" party, an annual fete that hosts more than 7,000 guests.Invitations went out last month featuring a pop-up Cyrus and promising "Texas Bar-B-Q, fajitas and amusements."

The source estimates that Cyrus, 16, and her team of dancers and musicians will receive "close to $1 million" to perform at tonight's exclusive bash.The party, which benefits the charity Guatemala SANA for needy Guatemalans, is no small affair. Miley Cyrus Filming Paparazzi-Inspired Music Video for 'Fly on the Wall'

Through a bunch of on-the-set pictures and two online videos, Miley Cyrus is seen bringing out paparazzi on the set of 'Fly on the Wall' music video.

In support of new single "Fly on the Wall" from her sophomore studio album "Breakout", Miley Cyrus has shot a paparazzi-inspired music video for the song. Accompanied by momager Tish, she went to a dance studio in downtown Los Angeles wearing white tank top and ANLO's "Brooke" jeans on Sunday, November 9.
On a pictures slide show posted below, Miley is shown getting chased by paparazzi. She tries to flee from the the chase and ends up in a parking lot. "Miley always had [them/paparazzi] in mind when she wrote the song," a source told E! Online concerning the concept behind the video.Meanwhile, on one of the photos which can be found either on her fan site or Just Jared, Miley is seen making friends with one of the paparazzi. They are shown walking hand-in-hand on the sidewalk. In addition, on a separate online video, Miley shows off some new dance moves.

Miley Cyrus Cleaned Toilets

Despite the fact that Miley Cyrus's dad was a huge country singer, she earned most of her spending cash from cleaning toilets. Yup, you heard right, cleaning toilets!

While on The Tyra Banks Show, Miley said: "I can clean toilet bowls. I worked at this place called Sparkles Cleaning Service and I cleaned houses, I was like 11."

She added, "I had one normal job and I actually liked it."

And now she's on her way to becoming the youngest self-made billionaire in American history. Amazing.

Miley Cyrus: Homeward Bound

She’s been all over Western Europe promoting her latest album “Breakout,” and yesterday Miley Cyrus was spotted on her way back to the States.

The “7 Things” songstress, accompanied by her mother Tish, left her London hotel and headed for the airport to catch a transatlantic flight. And of course Miley looked happy to be returning to America, especially since her hunky boyfriend Justin Gaston is no doubt waiting with open arms.

Speaking of Mr. Gaston, it seems he had his own brand of Disney fun, dressing up like a Jonas brother (along with Miley’s sister Brandi’s boyfriend Sam Hancock) for Halloween.

As previously reported by the Gossip Girls, the pair, “played an inpromptu concert in the driveway of the Cyrus family home and gave out sweets and posed for photos while passing out candy to trick or treaters.”

The “7 Things” songstress showed up at last night’s venue looking like a true rockstar, posing for the paps before taking the stage and giving a rousing live set of her new songs.

Following the show, Miss Cyrus was spotted arriving at the Grand Journal de Canal in the City of Lights looking quite stylish.

The Disney darling sported a black wool topcoat to chase away the chill, and proudly displayed her fabulous Fendi handbag as she smiled for the shutterbugs.

Disney star will be performing at the American Music Awards on her 16th birthday.

Though Miley Cyrus celebrated her birthday earlier this month, she's still weeks away from turning 16 and, like any teenager, the biggest thing on her mind is getting her driver's license.

"I am begging [to get my first car]," Cyrus told "Extra." "I got to go take my test first — I don't really want to go get my picture taken. It's, like, really hard to pick out your outfit."

On her actual birthday, November 23, the teen sensation will be performing at the American Music Awards at L.A.'s Nokia Theatre.

"I just think that they are super-successful, and hopefully, when I am compared to them, it's them ... career-wise, because they have all been super-successful and had amazing careers," she said, adding of Spears, "I don't know about around here, but at the Video Music Awards and everything, Britney Spears has been taking all the awards home and has really had quite a comeback."

This is hard to believe with all the lip-smacking Miley directed at her boyfriend at the Christian Audigier show. Miley Cyrus’ rep issued a statement saying that her client is not sleeping with Justin Gaston, insisting rather, that Miley follows her mother’s strict rules.

Miley and her mom sat front row at the show, and photographers snapped Miley licking her lips at Justin as he strutted down the runway. Reporters say that the two were all over each other backstage. A source also tells that that Miley was overheard telling a friend ”she was probably staying at Justin’s tonight and that they were going to skip the after party and have a party of their own.”

But the rep insists that’s all garbage. She says, “Miley had a great time at the show, but the whole sleeping over thing never happened. Miley went home with her mom and manager. Leticia is very strict with her.”

In some Tokio Hotel fans forums and other official forums, there’s this big rumor about a duo between Tokio Hotel and Miley Cyrus.

I was thinking about the possibilities, and I think that Miley will be doing the same thing with Tokio Hotel that she did with The Jonas Brother.

That means they might appear in the first episode of the season 3 of Hannah Montana where the duo will be released.

Parents of Miley Cyrus were nowhere to be seen when the Disney starlet was seen enjoying a dinner date with her rumored boyfriend Justin Gaston Thursday, September 25. The pair were photographed at Table 8 in Los Angeles, enjoying a dinner all to themselves.

For the night date, Miley wore a black tank top and jeans and was seen totting around a Louis Vuitton hand bag. Justin, as usual, kept it simple, wearing a black v-neck t- shirt and dark jeans.

In the crush of controversy that surrounded Miley Cyrus over the past 12 months -- the overpriced concert tickets, that Annie Leibovitz Vanity Fair spread, the cell phone pix, the ill-advised YouTube videos -- we may have lost sight of an important fact. That Cyrus is, in the grand scheme of things, a baby. A self-possessed somewhat media-savvy baby, sure, but still tender, still tentative and definitely not yet capable of fending for herself. (And, since we nominated Miley for Biggest Train Wreck in this year's Lizzies, we get a rap on the knuckles too.)

Which is why I felt a little verklempt when I read about Miley's 16th birthday bash at, of course, Disneyland. Because not content to let this girl -- excuse me, I mean child -- celebrate this milestone with a modicum of privacy, she was instead costumed, handed a mike and pushed on stage to perform four songs to an audience of paying ticket-holders.

"Miley is really hard to surprise," dad Billy Ray Cyrus told the Associated Press. I'm sure that's true, especially when the guest of honor is tasked with making good on those $250 tickets.

I'd like to think that like TV alter ego Hannah Montana, Miley's got someone in her corner with her best interests at heart. But this Sweet 16 spectacle, more than all the low level scandals that have dogged Miley for the last year, is proof positive that her management -- aka her parents -- have little in the way of judgment and even less regard for their daughter's well-being.

At the worst, she's been set on a path that will lead her dangerously close to the troubled route taken by Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan, both once Disney-groomed teen sensations, too. At the best, Miley's been taught from an early age that egomania is a virtue and, as former "Brady Bunch"-er Christopher Knight said in an interview last month, (and I paraphrase): kids who grow up thinking they are the center of the universe can have a real problem coping when that attention suddenly, inevitably, evaporates.

According to the article that accompanied Miley's Vanity Fair spread (linked above), the teen star is, "on track to be worth $1 billion by the time she’s 18." Hard to walk away from -- for parents and for 16-year-olds who have been taught that cash is king. When the VF interviewer asked if Miley was nervous about the fortunes riding on her she replied:

"I don’t get shaken or stirred up over anything. Which can be a problem sometimes. I'm just, like, so no emotions."

Right. That sounds normal for a 16-year-old girl.

The release of the Hannah Montana movie is now three weeks earlier, and will hit the big screen April 10th!

I wonder if it will be any better than the Hannah Montana: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour in 3-D.

Miley & Mandy have a new episode out on YouTube! The new episode starts out with Miley & Mandy introducing a special guest - her little sister Noah Cyrus and one of her friends. They basically interview Noah and ask her questions about what it’s like living with a sister that’s always in the spotlight. They then have a second special guest, her dad, Billy Cyrus. They ask him a few questions and he makes some jokes.

The show comes to an end with Miley and Mandy giving both of their special “guests” an award for being on the show.
